I don't have a great memory but from what I remember the whole album is a loose concept album with I believe it is 7 or 8 songs which are all connected and it's about a guy who goes into this small town and walks into this place called "the bar" and he starts playing with his band the guitar gangsters. The VIP area was a bit disappointing so I spent most of the concert out and about.So my band covered this song and learning the lyrics was weird for that part but here is some background. The venue was good and the show well attended. He soldiered on playing a solid set! I had seen them before and liked the added mikes on the staging so the band could move around more. Poulsens head set wouldn't work correctly. The rest night was slightly marred by technical difficulties when Mr. Volbeat followed opening with a tribute to Lemmy, playing the beginning of 'born to raise hell' over the speakers, then coming out to begin the concert playing 'The devils bleeding crown' to the crowds approval.

Their set was full of all their well known songs from 'My curse' to the new 'Hate by design'. Killswitch Engage played next and had an epic set! I had not seen them live before and I enjoyed the experience. A Canadian four piece band with long hair and a big sound. The opening band for the night was Black Wizard.
Volbeat was, without a doubt, one of the major high points of the Rock Am Ring festival of 2013. Volbeat is one of the best live acts you can see, and watching them play fills one with a sense of pleasure and freedom, allowing the listener to get lost in the music and brilliant performance. All in all, the band ripped through 18 tracks without mercy, showing unrelenting energy and enthusiasm throughout. Vocalist and rhythm guitar player Micheal Poulsen's biggest musical influence was Mr. Other Highlights of the show included a staple of their live set, 'Guitar Gangster and Cadillac Blood', along with a very nice mix of cover songs ranging from Johnny Cash's Ring of fire, to Judas Priests Breaking the law to Slayers Regin in blood to Ramsteins Keine Lust. Volbeat played in front of an huge festival crowd that was eager and energetic throughout the show, which took place under sunny skies. Highlights include the outstanding 'The hangmans body count', Pearl Hart and Dead but Rising.

Fresh off of their latest release, Outlaw gentlemen & Shady ladies, Volbeat ripped through a brilliant 70 plus minute set, featuring several songs from their outstanding new release. Volbeat put on an amazing show at Rock AM Ring 2013.

They have also performed at several high profile festivals, including the UK’s Download festival.
The band has played with artists such as Metallica and Nightwish and enjoyed several world tours. Some of Volbeat’s greatest songs include ‘Still Counting’, ‘A Warrior’s Call’, ‘Sad Man’s Tongue’ and ‘Lola Montez’. Volbeat cite their musical inspirations as coming from a variety of sources, from classic rock and roll artists such as Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, to modern hard rock, heavy metal, alternative rock and hard core groups. All five of these albums are gold certified in Denmark. The band is currently signed to Dutch label Mascot Records and has released five albums to date, to great success. Following this, the band produced four more albums, switched record labels and lost and gained members on their journey to success. Their first album, released in 2005, was entitled ‘The Strength/The Sound/The Songs’ and was a huge success in their home country of Denmark, reaching number 18 on the country’s charts. Poulsen formed the band after becoming disillusioned with the current death metal music scene. The current line up consists of vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen, bassist Anders Kjølholm, Jon Larsen on drums and Rob Caggiano, also on guitar.
